MELBOURNE ENVIRONMENTAL ARTS FESTIVAL

Melbourne Environmental Arts Festival (MEAF) collective is calling for interested parties in the creation of this year's festival.

MEAF aims to inspire our capacity to generate creative solutions for current environmental issues deforestation over-fished oceans, endangered animals, and loss of biodiversity. It celebrates the power of voice, art and activism in the public realm. We intend this> festival to be a vehicle for environmental awareness, sustainability and responsibility.

To make this a unique and effective event we are looking for organisers from all fields within areas of art administration, event management, curatorship, publicity and production. In previous years we have organised a stand alone festival that celebrates the fertile connection between art and activism.This year we hope to explore this further along with partnerships with> like-minded organizations and festivals.

We are having an initial meeting to discuss the new shapes and forms this years festival may take.
